NMRB series N°1 AIDIPSOS
Kimono N°2 is made from printed satin viscose and a silver vintage dead-stock satin viscose. It is sustainably produced in Greece by Resi Bender. From design to pattern, prototype development, samples as well as all NMRB garments are made in her studio in Athens. The pieces are designed with luxury sewing techniques and garment construction, with careful attention to details. Her work is defined by a functional and sustainable way of approaching the craft. All the materials she uses are locally sourced from selected shops in Athens which sell high quality, vintage dead-stock materials.
The digitally printed painting 'Call Me See' is from Natacha Mankowski's painting series 'Soil is concrete'. Aidipsos is a small village known for its natural healing hot springs in Euboea, Greece. The palette of the series is inspired by the unique colors that the clay ground and the water in and around the springs acquire from algues and moses (mint green) but also from minerals like potassium (chrome yellow), magnesium (silvery white) and iron (rusty red). The artist is taken by the geographical lay-out and the unique selection of raw materials on site to create one of a kind sculptural paintings. She uses samples of these raw materials to create the thick impasto paint that texture her work.
